Arlington is a city in Texas located west of Dallas. It is home to the University of Texas at Arlington, which is widely known for its modern planetarium. Arenas & Stadiums

Arlington is well known for its sports scene seeing as it hosts two of the most popular professional sports teams in Texas, the Dallas Cowboys of the NFL and Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball. Both these teams have their home stadiums in Arlington, AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Park. If you enjoy live sport, then this is where it's at. Whenever either of these teams is playing, fans always turn up in large numbers, which makes for an electric atmosphere. Anyone looking to experience American sports to the fullest should definitely visit one of these stadiums.

If you would rather chill and have some water park fun, Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is the best place for that. This nice water park features a number of water slides and pools that are ideal for cooling on a hot summer afternoon. They also have a lazy river where you can just float around and be lazy, which is surprisingly quite refreshing.

 

Museums & Art Galleries

If you enjoy museum tours or like exploring art galleries as you marvel at the amazing masterpieces, there’s still something for you. The Arlington Museum of Art combines these two things giving you the best of both worlds. It features some interesting exhibits from both local and regional artists, which you are guaranteed to love. The museum is quite big, meaning there’s a lot of space to maneuver and also more art pieces.

 

Shopping

If you love to do a bit of shopping every once in a while, Arlington Highlands and Cooper Street Antique Mall are there for you. The latter is the largest antique store in Arlington with over 53,000 square feet of antiques, collectibles, and treasures displayed in over 200 booths and showcases, while the former is a favorite local mall that features a good number of stores selling different items ranging from foodstuff, clothes, gadgets, and jewelry among others.

 

Despite its relatively small size, Arlington has plenty of things to do, and anyone visiting this beautiful city shouldn’t be short of something to do.
